Ebay

I have been busy ebaying all day.  It's been a couple of years since I did ebay seriously and a lot has changed in that time.  It's much harder to make a profit because their fees have increased quite a bit. It is also much harder to find things to sell since the economy is so crappy.  Although people are still buying, everyone is looking for a bargain where in the past bidding wars would drive up the price of your item like crazy.  There are so many big box stores like Toys R Us selling on ebay now also which hurts the small, individual seller.  I am going to give it a try this year and I hope I make a decent profit because not only do I need Christmas money, and cruise money, and wedding present money but December is a LONG pay period. It's is really hard trying to stretch a paycheck for 6 weeks that usually just covers four.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I'm ready for the selling madness to begin!

Halloween 2010

Well it's been awhile I know.  I have a TON to update but for tonight I'm going to keep it simple and just say we had a great Halloween and enjoyed trick-or-treating.  The princess was the cutest blonde, green eyed Pocahantas ever!

The Georgia Renaissance Festival

The princess and I spent Mother's Day at The Georgia Renaissance Festival.  I hadn't been in years and it was Olivia's first time going.  Needless to say it was right up her ally! She IS a princess after all!

Here's the princess ready to start her day.

Mother Goose

The village liar.  I think I was married to him........

And she said there wouldn't be dragons!

Watching the joust.

This was Olivia's favorite part of the day..........when the knight refused to begin the joust because, as he said, "I'm posing for my people!" She quoted that ALL DAY LONG!

Just what every little princess needs.......a giant turkey leg!

The crowning of King Henry

Posing with King Henry and Queen Anne.

A little face painting was in order.

A picture perfect princess.

We love the pirates!

Olivia was a little concerned when these pirates said,  "We won't try to steal ya when yer mama's not looking!"   I'm not sure I believed them either!

Not quite a fire-breathing dragon but close!

Spring Concert

We've had a very busy month of May! It started with Olivia's Spring Concert.  This was her first year to perform with the upper school.  I can't believe how much she has grown and learned since that first dance class five years ago.  Soon she will be dancing on her toes and I'll be working two jobs to keep her in pointe shoes!

Here is the princess ready for her first performance, tapping to "On the Good Ship Lollipop."  There was an en masse "AWWWWW" when the littlest dancers took the stage.

Olivia and two of her classmates

The whole gang. Most of these girls have been dancing together for years.

Caterpillars and Cacoons

Once upon a time there was a little girl that loved caterpillars.  She loved them so much that she traded TWO Blowpops for two caterpillars at school.  She brought them home and played with them all afternoon.  She lovingly took care of them, feeding them and making them a home in her deserted hermit crab cage.  After she tortured her mother a few times she finally put the caterpillars to bed for the night right next to her bed.  She slept peacefully and had sweet dreams filled with caterpillars all night.  But alas in the morning she awoke to find......................that one of her caterpillars had mysteriously turned into a cocoon overnight!! "I've been ripped off", she shouted!  "I didn't get to play with this caterpillar long enough for it to be worth a Blowpop!"  Hopefully the promise of future butterflies will make it all worthwhile!

And there she is............Olivia the caterpillar princess.  Yes ONLY my child would go to school and trade candy for caterpillars!!

And her new toothless grin!

Last but not least, her latest portrait! I think this is my new favorite!

Haven't Updated in Awhile............

So I thought I would do a quick update from then til now by posting some pics taken over the last few months!

Here's one of my favorites of the princess from our last trip to Mexico Beach! Look at those rosy cheeks! she wiped the sunscreen off her face as fast as I could apply it!

This one is probably my favorite! Gotta do a little Photoshopping to it though!

Love this one also!
She's such a little DIVA! She would literally POSE for HOURS if I could last that long!

Sam the cowboy!

And the cutest little cowgirl of them all!

Getting ready to embark on what would turn out to be the horseback ride from HELL!

And the next time I saw them they were WALKING back down the beach horseless! The horses decided not return and there was no convincing them otherwise so the princess and Sam had to walk back!

First day as a 2nd grader in Mrs. Goddard's class!

The cutest little Japanese doll ever!

Two little hooligans ready to go out and terrorize the neighborhood.....also known as trick or treat!

Beautiful roses for a beautiful ballerina before her performance in The Nutcracker!

The most adorable Marzipan Lamb that ever existed!

Two little lambs ready to steal the show! This was Olivia's dance partner, Kelsey!

Pajama day at school with her new PJ's and her much loved Heffalump.  Her newest nutcracker is there also!

Could it be the much anticipated and longed for Kaya doll??

Of course because Mommy makes sure that all Christmas wishes come true!

She's not quite so worried about being on that NAUGHTY list now that the big man already put in his appearance for the year!

And last but not least, one of the NUMEROUS snows we got this winter!  The first one was nice...couls have lived without all the others! This IS GEORGIA still after all!
