Yesterday was the last "teaching" day of summer school! YAY!! I took today off because I just NEEDED a break!! Tomorrow we will administer the math protion of the CRCT to the 8th graders. Fun times!! Friday is our post-planning day and THEN freedom, sweet freedom until August 11th!! Yay for me!! Summer school has been an interesting experience to say the least and NOT one that I want to repeat next year! Let's see...........there was the porn, the mooning, the knife, not to mention the general disrespect and bad behavior each and every day. What's not to love about it??
I also have a decision to make. I was asked to teach 6th grade math and social studies next year. Not so sure that is something I want to do. I really love teaching reading.............even though I do miss teaching math, I think that I want to stick with my current teaching position. I love my kids, my team, my subject area. NOW the only problem is............how do I tell them no! LOL!
